I may not be the wisest person in town, but these past 5 years in Med school I have been challenged physically and emotionally enough, in order to make some golden rules of survival. So I thought, why not share them with others, on my Blog?
We are all together in the boat called “Med school”, and by sharing our wisdom, we can help each other face all kinds of difficult situations. Besides, when you see that others go through the same things as you do, you get this very warm and nice feeling that you are not alone in this.
Here I go!

As you may know from my Instagram/Facebook page (or by personally knowing me, let’s not forget that:p), I have recently finished my 5th year as a Medical student. Only one more year is left! It’s amazing how fast time passes by. So, I thought, why not write 5 lessons that I have learned (the hard way), during the past 5 years of my life, as a Med student? This can serve as an inspiration to you, but also to me -every time I neglect one of these points, I can come back here, read what I wrote and start all over again.
Here we go!

Well, I don’t know about you, but personally I always panic when one of my male friends/relatives celebrates a special occasion and I need to get him a gift. If it is a gift for a female friend, you can never go wrong with high quality cosmetics/skin care products, or pretty and feminine accessories -at least, in most of the cases. But if it is for a guy? All I can think of is the case of my cousin: I used to get him an aftershave, for every special occasion, for many, many years. Name day. Birthday. Christmas. Easter. Successful examination. And many other times. No kidding, one day I visited him and I discovered a shelf full of aftershaves. It seems that I was not the only one who was going for the easy solution and was getting this particular gift for him. It was so embarrassing, I never bought an aftershave for anyone, after that!
So, over the years, I have made a small list of gift ideas for guys. Of course, not everyone is the same and not everyone is going to like everything out of this list. However, you can get some ideas and judge by yourselves if they match the particular person you have in mind.

Soft as a mini cake.
In the past few weeks I have been experimenting with different types of flour -and as a coconut lover, coconut flour was one of the first ones I got!
I have already made this recipe 4 times and every time, the cookies *magically* disappear in just one hour. This recipe is amazingly fast and easy. You can even wake up in the morning, combine and bake the ingredients, and until you get ready for the day, the cookies will be also ready for consumption. Such a hit!

In this entry, I am going to give you some movie recommendations. Just a quick list of good movies, in case you are too bored to google around. Animations are not included here -I have a whole bunch of favourites, so I’ll make another list for them.
Here we go, then! (I have linked all the titles to imdb, so click on them for more info)
If anyone tells me “Hey, I was thinking of watching a movie tonight. Any suggestions?”, this is the one I will say immediately. Enough said.

Meet Frankie, Mr. Pumpkin and Ghost Boo!
Ok, let me set things straight. I was never a big-Halloween-fan -i.e. I am not doing the dressing-up thing, nor the treat-or-trick thing. I haven’t even carved a pumpkin. But these days, I got really pumped up about making something Halloweenish -but something that can find a place in my home for more than the 31st of October.
So when I stumbled upon this recipe here, I thought “Well, well! These would be make some pretty neat candle holders!”
They are soooo incredibly simple and such a wonderful, warm addition to your house. I made all 3 of them in under 30 minutes, and you can certainly make them even faster. Just pop some spooky-wooky Halloween music on, and let’s get started!
